Uploading Backups to the Cloud
Prerequisites
- Cloud Addon: Ensure you have the Cloud Addon installed and activated.
- Cloud Settings: In Everest Backup → Cloud Settings, connect your preferred cloud platform (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) before uploading your backups.
The Everest Backup plugin provides two ways to upload your backups to the cloud. Follow the steps below based on your scenario:
1. Manually Specify the Cloud Location Before Backup
- Before starting the backup process, you can manually select the backup location in the Admin Dashboard.
- Or if you are scheduling a backup, you can choose from there.
2. Upload an Existing Backup to the Cloud
- If you forgot to manually set the location before starting the backup, don’t worry.
- Navigate to Admin Dashboard → Everest Backup → History.
- Hover over the backup file you want to upload.
- A button labeled "Upload to Cloud" will appear.
- Click the button, and your backup will be uploaded to the connected cloud platform with a single click.
By following these simple steps, you can easily manage your backups and ensure they are safely stored in the cloud.
